Recreating the Digimon Pop-up Cafe Menu items: Tentomon’s “What’s Up?” Cassis Oolong Drink and Palmon’s Fluttery Flower Drink

It’s time to try out some more Digimon pop-up cafe menu items!

Firstly, for Tentomon’s “What’s Up?” Cassis Oolong Drink, as I couldn’t find Cassis syrup in the shops (or any blackcurrent syrup for that matter), so I settled on blackcurrent jam squished and mixed up. For the oolong tea I used T2’s loose leaf Grand China Oolong Tea.
The results were honestly surprising; the bitterness of both the blackcurrents and the oolong tea went really well together and that added sweetness from the blackcurrents made it almost like a really nice sweet ice tea. Honestly I think I’d make this again. It was really rather nice. It could’ve been different with the syrup but I thought this was ‘close enough’ (as with the majority of my recreations).

Next up, we have Palmon’s Fluttery Flower Drink. Syrups are apparently really hard to find in usual supermarkets here so I didn’t use syrup in this one so I used the closest thing I had to green syrup – Midori. I used lemonade as the ‘clear soda’ as I know that Midori and lemoande go well together, and, of course, I topped it with Strawberry icecream and some chocolate powder. This was really, really nice and it was a nice snack.
I’m having the day off today because of a minor surgical procedure which will mean I will have a numb arm for today so I’m considering trying out Piyomon’s Sweet-Strawberry Drink later on today if I have time!
Let me know if there are any particular menu items I should try next (assuming I have the ability and the ingredients)
Stay tuned I guess!

Episode 125 Weekly Poll

Cool Digimon arrivals for October 17th

I also had a few more arrivals besides the Kokeshi Doll Rubber Straps previously discussed.

First up we have some Appmon chips. I’m trying to complete my collection of Appmon chips. It’s really hard.
Also pictured is a guide for the Digimon Championship DS Game. It’s one of my favourite Digimon games because it’s just so different. It also has Dracomon. I love Dracomon.
digimon adventure Cool Digimon arrivals for October 17th digimon adventure
Next up we have the Digimon Adventure manga books. They’re basically just cinemanga. I’m not sure if there are any others available. The first four cover the file island arc and the second two cover the Etemon arc.
I’ve never seen any Vamdemon or Dark Masters arc ones. It seems to just finish with Taichi returning to the real world like at the end of the Etemon arc. I’m not even sure if any continuation from there exists.

Next is a new OUTDOOR bag! I previously discussed the Digimon OUTDOOR tote and backpack on this blog but now I have another one! It’s got a nice subtle Digimon design so I can wear it out and people will just think I have a cool blue Camo backpack. I love subtle Digimon things that I can use in public!
I also got the Digimon Adventure Tri Taichi and Agumon figure that nobody likes. Because I felt empty without it.

Laatly, and this is something I’ve wanted for awhile…

The Mimi Nutella glass!!
I’ve always wanted it and now I have it. Now I can make my Digimon pop-up cafe recreated drinks in a cool new glass!

Shut Up and Take My Digi-Dollars! #4: Usable Digi-Merch – What's For Lunch?

As I mentioned in my last post for SUTMD; I love using my Digimon merchandise in everyday scenarios. I previously mentioned my use of the OUTDOOR tote and backpack as well as the KOD sports towel so I won’t write about them again, today I will talk about another piece of Digimon Merchandise that I use frequently (besides the tote and towel which I also use everyday).
I recently bought the Digimon Adventure Tri lunch set that was available at the Tri Part 5 popup shop from a middleman service. It’s made up of two bags; a cooler bag to keep your lunch fresh and cool during the day, and a small tote-like bag to fit it in.
It’s got a really cute design on the cooler bag with some DigiTama on it (maybe so we can keep some DigiTama cool before we eat them?) and the carry bag has the Digimon Adventure Tri logo (in English, not Katakana) and the child level (plus Tailmon) Digimon of the eight Digimon Adventure children. I thought Meicoomon would have been included but it’s not a big deal.
It’s a nice colour theme – a nice sky blue, similar to the chapter 6 poster.
Recently, I’ve been cooking onigiri and bringing it for lunch and these bags are perfect for it! The coolerbag can fit two onigiri and one banana and the coolerbag fits perfectly in the carry bag (I put my pieces of nori at the bottom of the carrybag.
The carry bag would be perfect if it had room for one of those drink bottles that they’ve been selling.
This item may be harder to get a hold of since it’s from a popup shop but I would highly recommend trying to find a proxy service which does pick ups or has one they’re reselling as this is a useful item and a fun and useful piece of merch!
As with last time, I have attached related images to this post!
