Following on from last week’s review and, of course, our podcast discussion episode, it’s time to watch the 8th episode of Digimon Ghost Game!
Opening thoughts
As mentioned in my predictions video embedded below, I actually think this will be another Gammamon evolution episode.
And this might not be the worst thing in the world.
Digimon Ghost Game Episode 8 “Nightly Procession of Monsters”
Digimon Ghost Game Episode 8 Review
Sistermon Ciel, who has previously been a Northern America only Digimon, is stomping on a self driving car and then a man finds himself driving alongside Digimon.
Kiyoshiro is watching the news and Jellymon appears after being gone all night. Hiro calls Kiyoshiro and says that he’s concerned about the news. Ruri joins the call and asks for help. They go to Go Karts.
Ruri loves the Go Karts and Kiyoshiro doesn’t join in out of fear. I love how happy Kiyoshiro looks just sitting there on his phone.
Sistermon Ciel shows up on the course and wants to race too, and she attacks Ruri’s go kart. The Kart animation is really weird. Jellymon apparently invited her.
Hiro has his lock smith gear out and Kiyoshiro calls it an analog skill. I love him. The group go into the digital space with their karts and realise there are so many other Digimon racing.
MetalFantomon, probably one of my favourite evil looking Digimon, is destroying the Digimon with his scythe if they’re too slow or if they pull out of the race. Ciel summoned MetalFantomon to make the race more fun.
All the Digimon have been marked with a red dot. So do the partner Digimon. The other Digimon raciding didn’t agree to these rules. There’s also a great range of Digimon popping up.
Ruri gets really mad and passes Ciel. Ruri says that she has the strongest and fasted kart but says she’ll trade with Ciel if she deals with MetalFantomon.
Ruri starts to fall behind and Jellymon and Kiyoshiro save them, but run out of gas, and then Hiro’s kart starts to overheat.
Black Tailmon appears and makes a giant portal and saves them from the marking of MetalFantomon, but hopefully the other Digimon who get transported will be okay too.

A fun episode but definitely filler. it was fun to see such a great range of cameos and even better to see Sistermon Ciel appear outside of an American release!
Fun battle, glad the conclusion differed from previous episodes, even if it was very sudden, but again, great cameos!
