Look, I’ve got to hand it to the English dub for being creative at least.
For those who didn’t watch the English dub of Digimon Savers, there is an episode with a giant BomberNanimon. Bombs are bad and violent, so they changed it to an orange that just exploded into orange juice when he died. Not sure why Mamemon = ok BomberNanimon = bad, but it was creative, to say the least. They did it, it’s there, and it’s a Digimon forever now.
Later on in the series, the antagonist straps a bomb collar on a small child and that’s not edited to be an orange necklace or something but whatever.
It’s a lot better than the English dub of Xros Wars which took a Digimon that already existed and had been shown in the English dub of Digimon before (Revolmon) and just gave him a new paintjob (blue). But it’s still very, very funny.
