Following on from last week’s review and, of course, our podcast discussion episode, it’s time to watch the 30th episode of Digimon Ghost Game)!
Opening thoughts
A Ruli focused episode means that we could get another evolution or just more character growth and moments between Ruri and Angoramon. Either way, I’m excited!
Digimon Ghost Game Episode 30 “Bad Friend”
Thetismon was edited into the intro! A girl is throwing a trantrum and says how everyone has forgotten about her, then Extyranomon and WaruMonzaemon appear wanting to play.
Her parents come in and the Digimon attack the parents and turn t hem into very creepy dolls. Meanwhile Ruri’s friends are actually worried about Kayano. A teacher visits Kayano and they turn him into a doll too, and then the pizza delivery guy who is late and then the social worker.
A Monzaemon is stalking Hiro while one of Ruri’s friends drops by to check on Kayono because she’s worried. Ruri is worried and comes along but Kayono and the Digimon are out, but she finds her friend’s bag.
Poor Kiyoshiro gets turned into a doll too, so does Jellymon and then she turns everyone to dolls. Ruri sees the Monzaemon too.
Kayono starts TAKING APART THE DOLLS AND RIPS OPEN KIYOSHIRO’S!?
Ruri changes the field. Gammamon and Angoramon evolve. Kayono is alone now because she didn’t go to the field too and she starts crying and asking why she’s alone. Monzaemon takes her to the field and sees that the other two were using her.
Monzaemon joins the fight and BetelGammamon evolves and CanonWeismon says there could be a limit to their evolution so they have to be careful. Monzaemon captures Extyranomon and WaruMonzaemon and turns them good. Then Hiro and Kayono sew and fix the dolls while Monzaemon explains that he was trying to find them for advice but got shy. The dolls turn back to normal.
Poor Kiyoshiro’s hair is weird still.

Wish it were more Ruri focused but it was creepy and felt unique.
