Following on from last week’s review and, of course, our podcast discussion episode, it’s time to watch the 36th episode of Digimon Ghost Game)!
Opening thoughts
I’ve been looking forward to this episode because the preview reminded me of the 2005 movie ‘The Descent’.
Digimon Ghost Game Episode 36 “Labyrinth of Grief”
People in an office building are being turned to stone while the main characters are going cave exploring and oevr hear a group of people who are also exploring and wonder about a building vanishing. They’re all fans of Ruri as they are from her forum.
They hear a giggle and then the cave caves in. They work out where the airflow is and a guy drops his phone and gets taken by Gigasmon when trying to retrieve it. Another guy gets taken when trying to investigate.
One by one people from the group get taken. The animation is really good! The group eventually stumble upon the rest of the group, annoyingly Ruri and SymbareAngoramon was also taken.
Turns out Gigasmon is sad that humans can’t become Digimon. Gigasmon is blind and only reacts to their sounds. Hiro notices the time limit to perfect more. Gigasmon has been making graves for humans because he’s sad and he learnt about the end of the world by watching a trailer for a movie.
Digimon Ghost Game Episode 36 Review
Rating for Digimon Ghost Game Episode 36
5/5
The episode was paced fine and the misunderstanding was sweet. The animation was actually great too!
However there’s a weird part where the address learning about the Digimon from the encyclopaedia, which is at the end of the episode, so that was weird.
